Living a fit life must have become a habit by now and waking up early in the morning must be relatively easy. From giving you some time to catch the sunrise to having extra time to plan your day, waking up early has many benefits. So wake up early to have enough time on your hand to dress up and go to work. You might not give enough importance to your physical appearance but it says a lot about your personality and also makes you more confident.
Healthy recipes
Breakfast–Begin your day by eating a bowl of oats with soft eggs. Oats are rich in fibre and keep you full for a long time and eggs fulfil your recommended allowance of proteins. This recipe comes handy if you have to attend a mid-morning meeting at work or have an important presentation as you can concentrate on your work and won’t be bothered by hunger pangs.
Lunch–Soy bhurji is an excellent option for lunch. It is made in the same way an egg bhurji is made but it is made with soy chunks instead of the eggs. Soya is rich in protein and is one of the best protein sources for vegetarians. Eat a bajra rotis or plain chapatis with this soy bhurji to enjoy your lunch.
Snacks–Fresh fruits are available in plenty during summer and it is also the best time to make the most of them/. If you are bored of eating whole fruits, you can also drink a mix-fruit smoothie.
Dinner–After protein rich meals it is best to eat a light dinner. You might think eating dal chawal at night is unhealthy at night but it is far from true. Dal chawal is easy to digest and has other health benefits. Here are 5 reasons I am a sucker for dal chawal with a dollop of ghee!
Exercises
Exercising at home–It is believed that working out at the gym is the best option when you want to tone your thighs. But that’s not really true. Exercises like lunges can be easily done at home without any equipment. Lunges help in toning your thighs and butt and giving your lower body a sculpted look.
At the gym–If you are working out at the gym, you can try new fitness regimen like Cross Fit. It improves your cardiovascular strength, stamina, power and flexibility. It is believed to be a complete exercise.
Yoga–Practising Tadasana or the tree pose improves your posture and helps in stretching your arms, chest, abdomen, spine and legs. It also helps in relieving you from back pain.
Sleep well tip–Now that you have spent the day flaunting your new and improved avatar, it is time to be thankful for your health and happiness. Before falling asleep, sit relaxed in your bed, close your eyes and think about all the good things that happened during the day and be thankful for them. Apart from keeping you satisfied, expressing gratitude has many benefits.
