Healthcare services company DocSuggest is expanding beyond doctor appointment service to a health and personal care search and appointments service called Ziffi. The company claims that users can book appointments in salons, spas, diagnostic centers, doctors and hospitals through this new platform.
While DocSuggest website still exists at the time of writing this article, the company says it will be completely shifting to Ziffi in coming days.
Post this rebranding, the company has also raised Rs 15 crore Series A investment from the recently formed Orios Venture Partners, as per a TechCircle report. It plans to use the funds raised to improve its technology interface & design, expand its network of service providers and undertake brand building and marketing campaigns.
The company had previously raised investment from angel investors Rajan Anandan, Tahel Khorakiwala, Vishal Gondal and Sanjay Parthasarathy in April last year. It had also raised investment from Vishal Gondal and Sanjay Parthasarathy in March 2011.
Ziffi.com is currently available in four cities – Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bangalore and Hyderabad. On selecting the city, a user is then prompted to choose if they would like to find doctors, diagnostic tests or salons and spas.
The doctor options lets users find relevant doctors in the city, although there is no way to specify or restrict the search to a certain locality at the moment. Search results are displayed in a list, including the specific experience, expertise and qualification along with the user ratings and a booking calendar for each doctor. The diagnostics test option lets users search for hospitals in the city by diagnostic requirement, which displays a list of hospitals along with their address, cost and plans if any, home pick up options and a booking calendar.
As for salons & spa, it seems to be currently available only in Mumbai city. However, its possible that the company will extend this option to other cities as well. In Mumbai, It currently lets users find salons and spas, and displays results with details including the location, cost, open timings, unisex or not, facilities provided like wifi and pictures of the location. Users can book an appointment for a corresponding spa via a booking calendar listed next to each result.
BSE-listed mobile and online business listings company JustDial also offers a similar salon and spa booking as part of its search plus platform.
